How did this passion change into reality?
After having coached a women's hockey team at Pennant Hills for years the players fell in love with the chai Ambi brought to training. Over time, each of the players added their own unique and personal spices to each of the chais - a new chai was born!

Ambi is an avid chai drinker himself - abstaining from alcohol in its entirety, choices for a favoured drink were scarce. Growing up between Kenya, Zambia, South Africa, UK and India - chai was a common thread throughout his experiences. From serving in the British Army as a soldier in the Royal Signals, NATO forces in Germany, to running dairy and beef farms in Zambia, to playing hockey all over the world and running educational institution in Australia - Ambi has a rich collection of stories and experiences that only add to the flavours of his special brand of authentically brewed chais of the Punjab and Africa.

Ambi's Chai Bar is a unique setting and home to a special community. Come along and enjoy the warmth and conversation of our chai lovers, meet new people, indulge in controversial topics (some stoked by the "pot stirrer" Ambi himself!) and dance along to the tunes - it's not all about the chai (or Ambi for that matter)...it's about the atmosphere, the experience!

Ambi's Chai's are brewed by an amazing bunch of friendly young people aptly named the Spice girls/guys - all keen to learn and share their personal experiences with everyone who walks in through the door. Ambi's is a boisterous, lively, noisy hangout for cool people listening to some cool eclectic tunes!

We are open and serving. We hope to make this an inviting place to come and pick up some chai (and of course some gossip!)
